The china pieces I purchased was my Mothers wedding china from the early 1940's. She had most of the pieces, but somehow ended up with no cups and saucers. "I recently discovered your web site by accident. I found my mother's "everyday dinnerware" from my childhood. It's called California Provincial by Metlox but my family has always referred to the dinnerware as Mom's "rooster plates". I told my Mother about your web site and she asked me to look for the sugar bowl that my father had dropped and broke way back in the 1950's. My mother has wanted to replace that sugar bowl forever (and she still had the lid). On the wide-rimmed bowls, the end of the box had been torn off and was totally gone. The soup bowls inside were still safe in their packaging. Those cardboard frames you use to hold the bowls made the difference, since the box no longer had any stability at all. Thanks. I appreciate that."

I wanted to tell you that I had seen a feature on your "pets at work" on Animal Planet some time ago, and now with the featured pets link in your e-newsletter. I am a dog mom and would love to see more companies do what you are doing by allowing people to bring their pets to work. A lady who uses the same veterinarian we do has to leave her Italian Greyhound at the vet's every day while she is at work because the dog has severe separation anxiety and literally gets sick if left alone. I also wanted to thank you for giving me the chance to pick up pieces of my mother's long-since-discontinued china pattern. She died 7 years ago. Like many women of her era, she never completed her set of china or crystal because other financial considerations (and her generosity) took priority over having a complete set of fine tableware.
