"Thank you soooo much for finding my pattern. After my original inquiry to Replacements, I had received a response from you saying that you never heard of the pattern. I was so disappointed. Then a few months later, I received another letter from you requesting a professional photo of the pattern so that you may include it in a book! I was so delighted, I had hope again! Then several months later - an inventory list arrived!! When I was able to place the order it arrived in about 5 days! And beautifully packed I must say! I now have service for 11! (I had only had service for 6). If any more pieces come in, please don't hesitate to contact me! My pattern is Epiag 6921, cream with the Pheasant on it. My father had bought the china for my mother when he was in the service in Europe. When I! was little I could never understand why only the adults used the good china at Thanksgiving. When unpacking the boxes of china received from my mother there was only service for 6, now I understood! Apparently it was customary for the settings from Czech to have been for 12. She died at age 79, and I've cherished her silverplate utensils as she always did. I remember as a child how very special this service for table was to her. "Thank you helping me through a very difficult time. We had a major house fire last October and our kitchen was completely destroyed. With it went my Oneida "My Rose" stainless flatware. I purchased it in the 1960's with Betty Crocker coupons saved by friends and family. "I want to tell you a story.... Recently, I attended a business dinner with clients who were planning to be married next month. They were talking about all the pre wedding stress and how little things were turning into arguments. One of the situations they described was the soon to be bride breaking two dishes that the groom has had for years. The dishes were very old and now the set was imperfect. "Just had to let you know that I appreciate the service that your business provides. When my mother-in-law passed away, it was, of course, difficult for my husband. Even more so, I feel, because they had been separated for many years, he had moved to the United States, she remained in England. She had moved to the U.S. only a few years before she passed. She did not have many material things, and had some tough years before she died. After her death, we received from her husband a set of china that had belonged to her. It includes dinner plates, bowls, some serving pieces, cups and saucers, even demitasse cups. Several pieces are broken and it is a set of six. Though probably not extremely valuable, it is something special we have of her to pass to our children. And it means a lot to my husband. I decided to replace the broken pieces, a few so shattered, they are mostly glue, and bring the set from six to eight. I contacted several places and was unable to find anyone who had pieces for this discontinued set. I heard about your company on the Oprah Winfrey show, found it on the internet, and was thrilled to discover you have all the pieces I will need. It will take some time for me to acquire what I need, but I feel good that I can honor her memory for my husband, and help to share memories of her with my children. In an era where there is no such thing as personalized service any more - I found some in your organization. Your employee took a great deal of time in discussing the size of plates I need in my pattern. It appears that I have a plate size in Masons Mandalay which is unusual, and one which is common. In any event, I ordered one plate. I was surprized and delighted when this same gal called me back about a half an hour later to tell me that she had just checked the stock on this plate and wanted to describe what she had found so I could get a good match on my existing plate (which she knew were for display - because I had told her). In the conversation she told me about two more plates in the same pattern, also in the "on sale" section, which were very nice, and were a good match for each other. And, I ended up buying those, also. WOW - what customer service! Unfortunately, I didn't get this gal's name but I know that she collects crystal and depression glass (because I asked her). My call to you would have come in Sunday morning, California time. If you can identify her - she should get a prize!"
