North Carolina artist signs world famous holiday designs at Replacements, Ltd.
GREENSBORO, N.C., November 15, 2006 – Internationally recognized artist Susan Winget will visit Replacements, Ltd. to sign copies of A Christmas Story, her collection of
china manufactured by England’s Portmeirion Pottery. The North Carolina artist’s designs are the first and only holiday tableware
pieces based on the classic poem ‘A Visit From Saint Nicholas’ (often referred to as ‘T’was the Night Before Christmas’) written in
1823 by Clement Clarke Moore. Each piece features a different scene and story line from the poem and has become one of the most
collected yuletide dinnerware series worldwide.
A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Winget’s studio is near her home in the Charlotte area. She’ll appear at Replacements, Ltd. to talk
about her work and sign A Christmas Story pieces for customers Sunday, November 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Replacements, Ltd. is
located at 1089 Knox Road, McLeansville, NC.
