Replacements, Ltd. partners with arts community for 15th annual Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day
GREENSBORO, N.C., April 20, 2007 – Replacements, Ltd. is putting a new spin on
Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day by partnering with the United Arts Council to create a memorable learning experience for children. The nationwide event is set for Thursday, April 26, 2007.
As part of the day?s events, an artist from the
ArtQuest outreach program at the Green Hill Center for North Carolina Arts will lead afternoon activities designed to teach children and their families work is not just about making business decisions, it is also about self expression and creativity through imaginative problem solving.
Replacements? activities tie into the national program sponsored by the Ms. Foundation for Women. The foundation started the event 15 years ago as a way to connect what children learn at school with the working world.
?This event is truly special to us, because commitment to family is one of our core values,? says Jeanine Falcon, Replacements? vice-president of human resources. ?As a family friendly company, we?re committed to supporting our associates when it comes to making loved ones their top priority. Not only does this give our employees? children a chance to see what their parents do for a living, it also allows them to experience an atmosphere where ?family? means many things, and all families are accepted and celebrated.?
