We are thrilled to announce the presence of one of Waterford Crystal ’s finest master cutters, Eugene Young, at a special signing event to be held in our showroom on Saturday, May 1st, 2004 from 11:00am - 3:00pm, ET . Mr. Young started as an apprentice at Waterford Crystal in Ireland when he was 17 years old. The apprenticeship program through which Waterford artisans become master craftsmen requires a minimum of five years training. After almost thirty years, Eugene Young is one of the pre-eminent crystal craftsmen in the world. Mr. Young’s time is obviously precious, and he makes limited trips to America, so we are extremely excited to have him join us at Replacements.

This unique and fun event will offer our customers an opportunity to purchase Waterford classic stemware, giftware, and collectible pieces which can be personally signed by Eugene Young. This is a perfect opportunity to purchase a bridal gift, Mother’s Day gift, baby gift, a unique piece to commemorate a special occasion, or pieces for your own (absolutely!) Waterford pattern or collection (certain exclusions apply, see below). Mr. Young will be happy to sign his name and the current year, or a specified date at your request.

As part of this special event, we are also offering an exclusive event crystal set for purchase and signing. The three-piece Waterford “Artisan” wine set includes a beautifully cut crystal wine carafe and a pair of matching wine stems.

If you are unable to attend our signing event in person, we will hold your order until May 1st and make arrangements for Mr. Young to sign your special purchase. We’ll then ship your signed purchase to the address you specify. A list of all Waterford collectible and crystal patterns eligible for pre-purchase and signing are listed below. (One important note, Waterford “Marquis” patterns are excluded from this special event.)
