Santa headed back North to help his elves prepare for the Christmas holiday, having fulfilled his consulting contract with Replacements, Ltd. But before he left, he drew the name of the lucky winner of our $500.00 Replacements, Ltd. Gift Card on July 31, the last day of our Christmas in July celebration.
Christmas in July was a wonderful month for events in our showroom. So many people signed up to attend Jill Slatter’s ever-popular seminar on “Dining Etiquette” on Saturday morning, July 18, 2009, we actually offered two seminars that day, one at 9:00am for the early birds, and one at 11:00am.
Many customers brought in pieces of sterling and silverplate the following weekend to take advantage of our free Silver Repair Clinic. Our silver artisans examined customers’ hollowware and flatware and gave estimates on repairs, replating, and polishing at no charge. That weekend we enjoyed a musical interlude, too. Fourth-grader Ryan Page, son of Replacements, Ltd. founder and CEO, Bob Page, and Dale Frederiksen, Chief Product Officer, performed in our customer lounge with the New Garden Friends School violin group, “Friendly Strings.”
As always, during the month of July the Replacements, Ltd. showroom was the best place south of the North Pole for special holiday items offered at big savings. Collectibles from companies like Roman, Slavic Treasures, and Goebel were reduced in price up to 90% off retail! Hundreds of our ornaments were on sale with special price reductions. And there were 10% price reductions on all regular-inventory, individually priced holiday china, crystal, silver, and collectible patterns (estate sets not included).
Mark your calendar for our next Replacements, Ltd. event! On the sidewalk in front of our showroom and museum on September 18-20, 2009, Friday-Sunday (7:00am-7:00pm, Friday and Saturday; 9:00am-7:00pm, Sunday), we’ll be having a Special Sidewalk Sale. Thousands of Lenox China and Johnson Brothers pieces will be offered at extra special prices, along with savings on many other patterns in china, silver, crystal, and collectibles. We’ll also have fantastic savings on select items in our showroom. Our last Sidewalk Sale was held in June 2009 – it was a huge success! Be sure to put September 18-20, 2009 on your calendar, share the news with family, friends, and neighbors, and plan on getting here early!
Our showroom and museum are open from 9:00am to 7:00pm ET, 7 days a week (except holidays); free tours are available from 9:30am to 6:00pm ET, 7 days a week. Our facilities are conveniently located between Greensboro and Burlington, NC, at exit 132 off Interstate 85/40. We’ll see you in September!
