Chippendale-Blue & Rust by Wedgwood
46-Piece English Bone China Set

Fine bone china often reminds us of Old World elegance, and Chippendale by Wedgwood is an excellent example. Named for the legendary 18th century English cabinet maker, Chippendale is rimmed, traditional china, with a gold ring at the verge (the verge area is where the center of the plate merges with the rim), a striking rust and blue border comprising geometrical shapes, scrolls, and a stylized lotus blossom, with gold trim on the outside edge. Thomas Chippendale was known as being a great adapter in his designs, incorporating the styles of great art movements or traditions into his work, and interestingly, Chippendale exhibits both Oriental and continental flair in its effect. We’re offering a special opportunity in this beautiful bone china – a 46-piece set that includes 8 cups (footed-Leigh shape) and saucers, 8 dinner plates, 8 salad plates, and 8 bread and butter plates, along with serving pieces, 1 creamer (146 shape), 1 sugar bowl (146 shape) and lid, 1 gravy boat, and 1 teapot with lid. Take advantage of this special offer today!

Wedgwood is one of the oldest and most respected companies producing china today. In 1759, Josiah Wedgwood established himself as an independent potter at the “Ivy House Works” in Burslem, England. During his first 10 years in business, Wedgwood made many refinements in the production processes for porcelain dinnerware. One of his most important creations was black basalt, a fine-grained stoneware superior to any that had been previously produced. Another watershed Wedgwood creation was creamware. Fired at higher temperatures than traditional English earthenware, creamware was non-porous, extremely durable, and relatively inexpensive. Wedgwood’s crowning achievement was Jasperware, non-glazed porcelain featuring classical figures in bas-relief, now virtually synonymous with the Wedgwood name.

Make the proud Wedgwood heritage a part of your household! For a winter makeover for your own table, or a thoughtful gift for a special someone this coming Valentine’s Day, order your 46-piece set of Wedgwood Chippendale. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase genuine Wedgwood fine bone china, so act right away!
