Over the past several days we’ve had snow and frigid temperatures (unusual for this time of year in Greensboro), but the daffodils pushed their yellow blossoms happily through the blanket of white. Promised warmer weather has us thinking of spring! Be sure to put us on your travel schedule now, and visit our museum, where we’ve created a magnificent exhibition of pieces from the Heisey Glass Co. of Newark, OH. Not only will you see one-of-a-kind crystal glassware, figurines, candlesticks, vases, candy dishes, bowls, and other pieces, you’ll also browse through Heisey Glass Co. historical information, memorabilia, and anecdotes about the company. A fascinating section shows glassware and china pairings suggested in marketing pieces from Heisey Glass Co. during their heyday. You don’t want to miss this special exhibit, which opened in our museum on February 1 and will continue through April 25, 2009.
