London Shell by Towle
featured flatware this month is the beautiful
London Shell stainless pattern by Towle. This high-quality stainless flatware design features a glossy bowl and a satin-finished weighty body, decorated with a
classic shell design. A combination of elegance and simplicity,
London Shell is an
excellent pattern for both formal and informal table settings. The
history of Towle Silver is rooted in the craftsmanship and artistry of the Moulton family of England. Starting with William Moulton II, a flatware design tradition would be built by six generations of Moultons including William Moulton IV, who would apprentice a young Anthony F. Towle.
Anthony Towle and partner William P. Jones would buy the Moulton family stock to form Towle & Jones, Co. in 1857. The addition of Towle's son Edward saw another name change to A.F. Towle & Son in 1873. Anthony Towle and son Edward retired in 1882, and the company was renamed "Towle Silversmiths". The Towle legacy of
great craftsmanship, beautiful design, and
consistent quality has ensured its success in the silver tableware market. Replacements, Ltd. carries a large number of Towle patterns, and a
great selection of place setting and serving pieces in the
London Shell pattern in particular. Start at the link below to
