We received a nice shipment in a great crystal pattern this month, the marvelous Regalta by Gorham Crystal. This classic stemware design features bowls that are decorated with vertical diamond cuts that flow upward from an intricate crosshatch pattern. The pattern has a multi-sided stem and a multi-paneled olive-cut base. The Gorham Company was founded in 1831 by Jabez Gorham. This self-made man came from a family of eight. His silver patterns became world-renowned and later the company expanded their product line to include china and crystal patterns. Regalta is an excellent example of the artistry of Gorham’s gifted designers and craftsmen.
