This month's featured silver is Double Helix by Sasaki Flatware. This weighty stainless steel flatware pattern features a balanced, symmetrical, and understated form that is accented with a simple twist and reflective, glossy finish. The beauty of Double Helix lies in its stylishness and modernity. Easily paired with a variety of china and crystal designs, Double Helix is a symbol of the postmodern design movement, and is both contemporary and classic at once. “Helix” is derived from a Greek word that describes a twisted shape, with the pitch of a helix being measured by the length of one complete turn in the helix. Given that there are two “sides” to the body of the pieces in this set, Sasaki assigned the name Double Helix to describe this unique and beautiful pattern, for which we have a really nice selection of pieces.
