This month, we feature Wedgwood’s exquisite Chinese Tigers-Green. This stylish bone china pattern features scalloped pieces with glittering gold trim and a green tiger motif derived from ancient oriental art that featured "dogs-of-fo".  "Fo" is the Chinese word for Buddha.  These mythical creatures were often depicted as lions, tigers, or dragons.  Around 1815, the Wedgwood factory first produced a dinnerware pattern featuring depictions of these mythical creatures.  The initial production of these Chinese Tigers patterns yielded pieces in green, red, blue, and black.  During the 1980’s, Wedgwood resurrected production of these patterns.  Replacements, Ltd. carries Chinese Tigers in Blue, Green, and Red.  This month, we are excited to be able to offer great values in Chinese Tigers-Green, including 5-piece place settings consisting of a dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, cup, and saucer.
