This month, we chose to highlight a crystal pattern with a rich American history and an intricate design.  It also happens to rank number three on our Top 10 Etched Crystal Patterns list.  Orchid by Heisey Glass has a multi-optic flared bowl that is accented with a delicately etched floral design.  Heisey’s unique stemware design is a delight at first glance, even to the most casual crystal fan.  Each piece in this full-service crystal pattern has graceful lines, gentle curves, and etched floral splendor that is unmatched in crystal.  The pattern was introduced in 1940, and would prove to be the company’s most popular design.  In an attempt to capture the popular move to clear crystal by consumers, but to set themselves apart from other makers of American stemware, Heisey used an orchid as the centerpiece of their new etched design.  To this day, Heisey’s very popular design is the only American floral crystal that features an orchid rather than traditional flowers as a central design theme.  Start below to see our entire selection!
