In our search for the best in tableware design and value,
we occasionally are fortunate enough to come across REALLY compelling values
in sets. Recently, we’ve found just such a value! While supplies last,
we are selling Gorham Silver’s Baluster II 90-piece sets! This
90-piece set includes 12 dinner knives, 12 dinner forks, 12 place spoons, 24
teaspoons, 24 salad forks, 1 tablespoon, 1 pierced tablespoon, 1 sugar spoon,
1 cold meat serving fork, and 1 pie server. Baluster II is made of durable
18/10 stainless steel. The 18/10 designation represents the nickel to chromium
ratio of the stainless steel and is a good measure of the flatware’s inherent
luster, strength, and durability.
Baluster II is designed in the Arts and Crafts
tradition which was at its peak from 1910 to 1925, occurring between the Art
Nouveau and Art Deco periods. Coupled with the quality 18/10 stainless alloy
is a wonderful design straight from the Arts and Crafts period. The symmetrical
design of Baluster II pieces consists of groups of parallel lines forming
bands on the handle of each piece and a hammered, satin-frosted finish. For about the price of an expensive dinner, you can acquire a 90-piece set that will
last a lifetime. Start at the link below for images, a list of available pieces,
