Exquisite Silverplate Trumpet Vase
We’re offering a spectacular silverplate trumpet vase that is currently on display in our Showroom. This piece is actually museum-worthy, but we only have room for so much in our 500,000 square-foot facilities!
Although we can’t be certain of its manufacturer, the vase was probably produced by silversmiths in England during the Victorian period. The rich patina of the silverplate suggests the age of this piece. Remarkably heavy, the trumpet vase stands 40 inches tall, with an 8 1/4-inch base. Were you to see this piece in person, you might remark that it is one of the tallest, most impressive silver vases you’ve seen!
The base and bottom of the stem of the silverplate trumpet vase are decorated with an
acanthus leaf design, reminiscent of the acanthus designs of Corinthian capitals in classical architecture. Four
cherubim with garlands of roses decorate the 10-inch flared top of the vase. On its side the trumpet vase bears a
coat of arms braced by two lions with the motto in Latin, “Fide et Marte,” that is, “By Faith and Valor.”
Exquisite in design, rich in history, this unique silverplate trumpet vase will add striking accent to any room in your home, for generations! Pieces like this don’t come along every day, and we have only one. Be sure to order today!
