Santa-Picked “Christmas in July” $500 Gift Card Winner Announced!

Well, Santa, his elves, and the reindeer headed back to the Monterey Peninsula in California to finish up their annual summer vacation (Santa and staff take their leisure time seriously), but we had a great time with them while they were here. Before he left, Santa himself picked the winning entry in our special “Christmas in July” drawing for a $500 Replacements, Ltd. gift card!

We are happy to announce that our winner is Replacements, Ltd. customer Margaret Townsend, a resident of beautiful Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Beach aficionado that he is, Santa offered to deliver the gift card personally, but he’s given so much already this summer, we assured him it wouldn’t be necessary!

Ms. Townsend registered for the drawing when she was visiting our facilities with her sister-in-law from Chapel Hill, NC. They came on behalf of a friend in Virginia, who wanted to sell sterling silver pieces from an estate. “I told him I knew just where he could sell his silver,” Ms. Townsend said. “So I offered to bring it in for him.”

Ms. Townsend hadn’t heard about our “Christmas in July” event until she arrived in the Showroom. “We had a wonderful time,” Ms. Townsend said. “I’m a member of a group that exchanges ornaments every Christmas. I found some beautiful things for the group and for my grandchildren! Since I live at the beach, I was delighted to see the special holiday trees decorated with shell ornaments!” Ms. Townsend has been a customer of Replacements, Ltd. since 1998. “I first registered ten years ago, when I was living in the Netherlands with my late husband. I was able to identify my grandmother’s china pattern from her wedding in 1900. When my mother visited recently from Illinois, we drove up for the free tour of your Showroom, Museum, and warehouse facilities. I’m a big fan of Replacements, Ltd.! Staff members are always so polite and knowledgeable, and now with the computer, it’s easy to stay in touch.”
