Replacements, Ltd.

Festival-Blue  by Spode
Special Holiday Price!

Spode Festival-Blue is another great variation in the Thanksgiving turkey theme – this one in blue and white. Festival-Blue is scallop-shaped, rimmed china with a big tom turkey spreading his plumes in the center of the plate. The turkey is encircled with a geometric border of leaves and flowers. Outside the border are beautiful floral baskets that alternate with oak leaf and scroll designs that cover the verge (the verge area is where the center of the plate merges with the rim) and rim. The outside edge of the rim is white. These magnificent Spode Festival-Blue dinner plates will set a wonderful holiday table this Thanksgiving. Be sure to order your Spode Festival-Blue dinner plates now, in time for the holidays!

Spode is one of the most popular lines we carry, and for good reason. Founder Josiah Spode opened the doors of his porcelain factory in 1780. Under his careful guidance, the Spode factory introduced two important breakthroughs in the development of English ceramics. The first was a formula for bone china that is still used today. Using bone ash, Spode was the first English china manufacturer to achieve higher firing temperatures, resulting in non-porous, beautifully detailed, and longer-lasting china. The company’s second important achievement was perfecting the "underglaze" decorating process –also in use today. Spode developed ways of applying intricate designs to china that would last for years without chipping, scratching, or fading. Spode’s addition of bone ash to the composition of his china and his methods for decorating it were both achieved economically – at prices the English middle class could afford.

You can expect the same legacy of beautiful design and quality craftsmanship in our Spode Festival-Blue 8-piece set of dinner plates. We have limited supplies available, so don't delay! Enhance your seasonal table with pieces from this wonderful pattern. These 8-piece sets will be very popular, so get them while we have them in stock!
