Limoges is a city known world-wide for the deposits of kaolin and extraordinary clay nearby, and has been a center of fine china production for centuries. Michel Bernardaud, author of a beautiful illustrated book on the history of porcelain, has served as director of the Bernardaud company since 1994. Michel Bernardaud represents the fifth generation of his family to provide leadership to the company, long recognized for the artistic design and innovative craftsmanship of its works.
