Our featured pet this month is a handsome standard poodle named "Alexander Julian", also known as "AJ". His owner, Theresa Hicks, is a member of our Purchasing management team. When deciding on a family pet, Theresa chose a standard poodle for several reasons. Standard poodles are very affectionate and love children. Also, they are a great breed for allergy sufferers. Theresa has a son, Alek, who is allergic to dogs but has had few problems with AJ.

AJ is truly a member of the Hicks family. Although he is a standard poodle and weighs 60 pounds, he thinks he is a toy poodle in stature! He enjoys jumping in people’s laps and showing his affection in many ways. AJ and Alek play together like brothers. Their favorite activities are playing ball and jumping on the trampoline. AJ is very attached to Theresa and Alek and is quite protective. If an adult stranger comes too close to Alek, AJ lets them know right away that they may want to consider asking for permission before getting any closer!

We asked Theresa what is the most fun part of having her dog at work. She said, “I love to see the joy that our pets bring on a daily basis to co-workers, visitors, and customers.” If you decide to stop in and visit us at our beautiful 12,000 square foot showroom in Greensboro, NC, you may just run into AJ and Theresa!
