Sassy and Debbie Chandler

Replacements, Ltd. Online Auctions Specialist Debbie Chandler was the last one in her household who wanted another dog, but “Sassy” (short for “Sassafras”), a Spaniel/Springer mix, was destined to become her little shadow. “We acquired Sassy about two and a half months ago from a neighbor when her momma was hit by a car and killed,” Debbie said. “We saw Sassy for the first time when she was only a few weeks old – she was the fattest and only brown puppy in the litter. My favorite thing about her is her freckled nose and feet.”

Sassy became the newest addition to Debbie’s pet menagerie, which currently includes two miniature dachshunds, a beta fish, two Australian Zebra finches and 25 assorted chickens. When Sassy comes to work with Debbie (which is almost every day), she occupies her time in Debbie’s cubicle playing with her toys and taking naps. She even has a fan club, and the members come to visit her throughout the day for puppy kisses and hugs. “I am not sure who gets more kisses and hugs – the fans or Sassy!” says Debbie. “It’s fun to see how happy she makes people when they see her.”

Debbie is very pleased with the Replacements, Ltd. pet-friendly policy. “I like bringing my puppy to work because I don’t have to worry about her while I am away, and am able to maintain her training throughout the day.” Debbie also believes the Replacements, Ltd. pet policy is very progressive and makes it a unique company in our area. “A few times Sassy and I have been making our way down the hall when a showroom tour group is coming through the warehouse. Everyone in the tour is always excited to see her, and I think it makes their visits here more memorable.”
