Julia Terry, a miscellaneous inventory purchasing specialist in the Replacements, Ltd. inventory department, acquired “Katie” after responding to an ad in the newspaper for an 8-week-old boxer puppy. “We named our new addition ‘Princess Katie,’ but nicknamed her Katie,” Julia said. According to Julia, Katie was very playful and energetic puppy from the start. “I was working from 3pm to midnight at the time, which provided plenty of time for us to bond,” said Julia. “Spending days with me in my cubicle also taught Katie to harness some of her puppy energy.”

Katie is now 10 1/2 years old, and has spent most of her life at Replacements, Ltd. “She enjoys coming to work with me,” Julia said. “If I start out the door in the morning and she thinks she is not going to come with me, she gets very upset and mopes around. Katie started at Replacements three weeks after I did, so this has been a career for both of us!”

Katie is very protective of Julia’s two children. “In fact,” said Julia, “if Katie hears a child crying, she perks up to see if everything is OK.” Katie has made many friends throughout her time at Replacements. “She knows exactly where to stop along our walks throughout the building to get treats, and she knows who she can approach for extra love!” Julia said.

Asked about the pet-friendly policy at Replacements, Julia said, “I think the pet policy here at Replacements is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your four-footed friend. They offer unconditional love throughout the day, whether good or bad.” When asked about working at Replacements in general, Julia said, “Replacements is a wonderful place to work, with a diverse culture that welcomes all sorts of people – and their pets, too!”
