Featured Pet - August 2003
This month, Replacements, Ltd. has a very special pet story to share. Carson Mack is part of the executive staff at Replacements, Ltd. and recently celebrated his 10 year service anniversary at Replacements. Carson came to Replacements after responding to an ad in our local newspaper and after being impressed with the unique work environment offered by our company. Soon after Carson arrived, Replacements formalized a policy allowing pets to join their owner's at work. Carson's loyal and loving pet and family member “Keisha”, a shih-Tzu, began joining Carson on special occasions at Replacements until she passed away in 2001. Her loss was deeply felt in Carson's family, and though she has not been replaced in the Mack household, another wonderful pet has stepped in to fill the void.
"Charlie" came to Greensboro from Colorado in 2000 when Carson’s youngest son married Heather Graham. The couple then moved to Greensboro to join Carson’s family, bringing with them a very lively dog Charlie. Soon after, Heather came to work for Replacements, Ltd. and began bringing Charlie to stay with Carson in his office. In addition to Charlie, Carson advises that he has several other “grand-pets” to keep him company, including a Siamese cat named Litto and three cats that belong to his eldest son in Florida.
In regard to pets in the workplace at Replacements, Carson has said many times “It is really nice to walk though the building when you are all wound up in your work or the pressures of the day and run into one of our furry friends. As soon as they recognize you, their tail starts wagging. It tells you something about our work environment and the people who work here when you are known as “Uncle Carson” to all Replacement’s furry friends.”
