Replacements, Ltd. Pattern of the Month - November 2001
His Majesty by Johnson Brothers
Our pattern of the month is
His Majesty by Johnson Brothers. A regal old Tom Turkey is placed in a natural setting with colors of brown accented by muted reds, yellows and greens. The pattern made a 28 year run with Johnson Brothers,
starting in 1955 until it was discontinued in 1983.
His Majesty will make a wonderful addition to all of your Autumn table settings
including Thanksgiving.

The Johnson Brothers company was started by Frederick and Alfred Johnson, sons of a master potter, in 1883. The brothers broke new ground by producing simple and lightweight tableware made from earthenware,
soon earning them a considerable reputation as leading potters. The company installed gas-fired tunnel kilns in 1940, replacing outdated "bottle" ovens. By the 1950's, Johnson Brothers became an important part of the tableware industry, and is recognized
world-wide for consistent high-quality products. In 1968, Johnson Brothers joined the Wedgwood Group and continues to produce both English traditional and contemporary designs.
