Help Celebrate Bring Your Pet to Work Day with Replacements, Ltd.
GREENSBORO, N.C., June 16, 2014 – Help celebrate Bring Your Pet to Work Day with the team at Replacements, Ltd.! Dogs shopping with their owners at the company’s retail store will receive treats as part of the day’s events set for June 20, 2014. The celebration ties into activities planned nationally as part of Pet Sitters International’s Take Your Dog to Work Day. On an average day, Replacements generally has 20-30 furry friends coming to work, but anticipates additional attendance for Bring Your Pet to Work Day events. Organizers are planning special activities for employees and their pets, including a company-wide pet supplies drive to help meet needs at the Humane Society of the Piedmont and the Guilford County Animal Shelter. For nearly 20 years, the Greensboro retailer has encouraged employees and customers to bring their pets to work or shop. In addition to receiving international media attention for the company’s innovative pet friendly policy, Replacements partnered with Virginia Commonwealth University researchers on the first quantitative study of the effects of dogs in the workplace. Study results confirm the presence of pets not only reduces stress, but also increases job satisfaction and cooperation among coworkers.
