Governor Presents Replacements, Ltd. Founder and CEO with Award
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper bestows the Order of the Long Leaf Pine
GREENSBORO, N.C., September 24, 2021 – On Thursday, September 23, 2021, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper presented Replacements, Ltd. Founder and CEO Bob Page with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest honor given by the Governor for exemplary service. Page joins other great North Carolinians who have made significant contributions to their communities and state through exemplary action and by realizing exceptional accomplishments.
Page has a long history of service to the people of North Carolina. At an early age, Page learned the value of generosity, community, and standing up for others. He uses his voice to address issues impacting our communities. His work is focused on recognizing human dignity, protecting and expanding civil rights, including LGBTQ equality, welcoming immigrants and refugees, alleviating homelessness and poverty, environmental stewardship, access to health care, and immigration reform.
Upon receiving the award, Page stated, “I was very surprised and honored when our friend, Governor Roy Cooper, awarded me the Order of the Long Leaf Pine while visiting Replacements, Ltd. today. Somehow, it is humbling to be recognized with what I am told is the highest award given by the Governor. I look forward to continuing my work for our community and North Carolina. I’m grateful to the Governor and thankful for his leadership.”
