âThis month, we feature âZoe,â a teacup Chihuahua who belongs to Debbie Smith, an accounting specialist at Replacements, Ltd. According to Debbie, Zoeâs arrival wasnât entirely planned. âThree years ago, our family grew to include â Samsonâ and âDelilahâ â brother and sister Chihuahuas,â Debbie said. âWe didnât think our family needed any more additions until we met coworker John Griffithâs tiny, long-haired teacup Chihuahua, âElvis.â Debbie and her partner instantly fell in love with Elvis and his big personality, and it wasnât long before they found themselves searching for their own âlittle Elvis.â
âTwo weeks ago, we were fortunate to find the perfect little ten-week-old, one-point-six-pound, go-anywhere, hide-in-your-pocket-or-purse, hold-with-one-hand, love-to-death companion!â Debbie said. Zoe has started training Debbieâs partner with weekly trips to the nail salon, shopping, and even to the library. âAfter a week of shopping and spa days, we knew this little girl could handle all the pampering she would be forced to endure,â Debbie said.
Even once sheâs fully grown, Zoe is not expected to weigh more than three pounds. But despite her tiny size, she has already won over the Smith household. âSamson and Delilah are adjusting well to their new little sister,â Debbie said. âHowever, at times we have to intervene when the playing gets too rough.â
When asked what she most likes about the Replacements, Ltd. pet policy, Debbie said, âI feel very fortunate to be employed in a pet friendly environment where employees are allowed to bring their pets. They are certainly stress relievers!âReturn to Featured Pets Archive
