Signed Harry Guthrie Phillips Ceramic Fish Sculpture
$499.95
This Signed Harry Guthrie Phillips Ceramic Fish Sculpture captures the lively character of its subject through an expressive hand-modeled form and richly layered glaze. The broad body is articulated with textured scales and sculpted fins, while the dramatically extended tail and dorsal fins give the fish a dynamic, almost whimsical silhouette. Flowing shades of deep cobalt, turquoise, sea green, and pale blue mingle across the surface, with natural variations in the glaze emphasizing the ridges, contours, and irregularities of the ceramic body. Expressive details around the eye and mouth lend the sculpture a distinct personality, resulting in a colorful and imaginative work that celebrates the organic beauty of aquatic life.
