A wonderful example of late 19th-century American ingenuity, this J&E Stevens Antique Cast Iron Salesman's Sample Toy Stove captures the charm and craftsmanship of antique wood-burning cookstoves in miniature form. Finely cast with ornate Victorian detailing, the stove features embossed decorative panels, opening doors, removable burner covers, and raised legs, faithfully replicating the appearance of a full-size household range. Accompanying the stove are period-style miniature cast iron accessories, including a kettle, Dutch oven, skillet, griddle, and cookware, enhancing both its authenticity and display appeal. Originally produced as a salesman's sample and later cherished as a toy, these cast iron stoves have become highly collectible examples of early American advertising and manufacturing history.
