Customer's Beautiful Tablesettings & More
The year my husband discovered Replacements Ltd. by Vincent V.
For years my husband treated my dish ware obsession like a silly hobby, never really complaining about it, but not interested in it either. As the holidays approached in 2012. I was debating whether or not to buy this 19” Spode Christmas Tree Grove platter from Replacements Ltd. I would check on it often, but put off buying it until I was sure I had purchased all the gifts I wanted to get for Christmas. Finally, the shopping was done, and I still had enough left to get the platter. I logged onto the website only to find out the platter was no longer in stock. My heart sank, but I consoled myself with the thought that it must have gone to the person who was meant to have it, and that someday another would become available. Imagine my surprise when I unwrapped this on Christmas morning. I didn’t realize that my husband even knew that Replacements Ltd existed, and til this day he won’t tell me how he knew I had my eye on it. In fact this was only one of three platters in this pattern that he gave me that morning. I also have a 15” platter and a round chop plate. I guess he wanted to make sure he got the right one, but I’m not complaining, because I use all three every year. I just remember being completely speechless and tearful when I opened those packages on. Christmas morning 2012.
Friends Around the Table by Marlis B.
The Pfaltzgraff Halloween plates were plates I used when the grandchildren were young. For our dinner group, I didn't have enough, but luckily found the missing pieces through replacements. This picture brings back many memories of the friends with whom we shared this dinner, many who are no longer with us. Just like good friends, this table is a mixture of old and new, the refined mixed with the casual, gathered along life's many paths.

Heritage Plate Wall by Heidi E.
Growing up my family and extended family always celebrated holidays by eating on china. I have fond memories of learning how to set a proper table, and how to use each piece of tableware and flatware. My Mom, Nana, Grandmother, Aunts, snd even my Uncle all had their own china sets as well as sets and pieces handed down to them over the years. Their patterns have a special place in my heart. I wanted to find a way to keep these fun memories alive, without having to store multiple sets of dishes. I decided to make a plate wall with patterns from each persons treasured collections. Using your China finder, I was able to take photos and identify the patterns.
The process was so easy! Your company had all the patterns I was looking for. Thanks to you, I now have a piece from everyones china on my wall. Patterns on display are from my own sets as well as my Mom, Grandma, Nana, Uncle and Great Grandmothers. I even included pieces from my Mother in laws china and also my husband's Grandmothers. One piece from everyone's patterns. I didn't want to take away from anyone's collections for my wall. So I ordered most of these pieces from you. It was so fun to find them all on your website. Every time I look at my wall I am reminded of all the times we used these patterns for celebratory meals. Thanks for making this dream of mine come alive!
Snowflakes from Heaven by Susan H.
Mari Lynn and I were best friends for 45 years, ever since seventh grade. In 2020, she died of cancer and took part of my heart to heaven with her. Not a day goes by I don't think of her and smile. For many years at Christmas, she gave me a crystal Swarovski annual snowflake ornament. She bought one for herself as well although she missed a few years when her two boys were in college and money was tight. At the beginning of each December, we'd call and say, "My ornaments are up! Are yours?"
The Christmas before she died, with the help of Replacements.com, I tracked down the ornaments missing from her collection and gave them all to her. She was overwhelmed.
During that first December without her, I unpacked my sparkling snowflakes and thought of her collection, still in her closet. Her heartbroken husband could not bear to face the holidays. That day I went to the store and bought two 2020 ornaments, one for my set and one for hers, to carry on the tradition for her amazing sons. And I have done that every year since. Someday her sons may have families of their own. One will get her ornaments and I will give the other son my set. Snowflakes from Heaven is what I call the delicate pieces now, always beautiful and forever in my heart.
Remembering Granny by Lindy M.
My mother in law passed away on 8/31/22. I inherited her Johnson Brothers Blue Willow Dinnerware and her Rogers Silverplate Magnolia 1951. I was able to enlarge her 8 place settings to 10 thanks to Replacements. Tonight, we’re having a memorial dinner. Everything on the table was hers (except glasses)
Tea Set Collection by Susan B.
I inherited my grandmother's antique tea set from my aunt. We used to have tea parties with it. Recently I'd noticed an influx of china coming into local thrift stores and started picking up tea sets. Many of them I completed buying pieces from Replacements. I bought some nice glass cabinets, installed lights, and they now grace a lovely nook in my home, and bring me joy every day!
