Internet Marketing Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Online Marketing, the Internet Marketing Analyst is responsible for the development and implementation of advanced strategic Internet marketing initiatives for Replacements.com, and for coordinating those efforts across internal and external Information Technology entities to support departmental and organizational objectives and business-results goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements appropriate Internet marketing strategic initiatives, within the budget planning process, to support organizational sales and marketing strategies and business-results
  • Advises on the technical viability and feasibility of Internet marketing initiatives via ability to understand and interpret web programming languages including HTML, XML and JavaScript for implementing ad campaigns. Has the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure the success, and enhance the performance, of Replacements’ Internet marketing initiatives and web site
  • Identifies external industry trends and benchmarks, analyzes organizational Internet marketing performance in the context of these benchmarks & trends, and provides recommendations for continued development and improvement of Internet marketing initiatives
  • Interacts with external online marketing vendors to research and qualify opportunities to market the replacements.com web site online, in order to increase qualified web traffic, site usage, and site ROI
  • Uses software-based ad campaign management platform to manage large, variable-cost online advertising campaigns
  • Uses online reporting systems to gather and organize ad campaign data for analysis and campaign optimization, and presents findings and recommendations to the Manager, Online Marketing. Delivers quantitative analysis that provides meaningful and actionable insights to shape web marketing programs
  • Reviews and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for  web traffic and usage, web sales, and web site performance; performs trends analysis; and suggests changes to improve web ROI in all key measured online areas. Evaluates reporting processes for continued improvement and efficiency of standardized reports
  • Administers paid and non-paid online ad placement and maintenance at multiple high-reach Internet marketing venues
  • Manages Search Engine Optimization efforts and other aspects of search engine visibility responsible for increasing and maintaining levels of inbound traffic from external algorithmic search engines
  • Supports the analytics needs of the business by analyzing web traffic using Web Analytics tools and producing reports related to key performance indicators
  • Administers Replacements’ high-volume product placement at various online shopping portals and venues
  • Deploys social marketing programs and technology to create innovative and creative campaigns in support of Replacements, Ltd. product inventory and determines measurements and key metrics to understand social media effectiveness
  • Writes effective promotional and informational copy for web site as needed
  • Assists in the Online Marketing annual budget planning process
  • Stays current with new online marketing tools & trends and their application to Replacements.com marketing programs

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • BS and/or MS Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field required
  • Must have extensive experience in Internet marketing concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret HTML, XML and JavaScript in an Internet marketing setting
  • Demonstrated experience with high-volume paid search marketing programs & concepts, including Google AdWords, Google Shopping & Bing Ads
  • Web analytics experience including expertise in campaign tracking, dashboard creation, and tool implementation
  • Mathematical and statistical analysis skills to be able to identify trends and actionable information are required

Linux Systems Administrator

The Linux Administrator is responsible for administration of physical and virtual Red Hat Linux and Oracle Enterprise Linux servers. These servers host a variety of Linux-based websites and applications (including a very active “sendmail” operation) and databases (including Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL). The administrator will support and work closely with our database administration and software development teams. Part of the Administrator’s support responsibilities include participation in a 24/7 on-call technical support rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary administration of Linux platforms. The Linux Systems Administrator will proactively monitor and manage the systems by daily monitoring of system logs, disk utilization, alarm lights, cpu utilization, memory utilization, etc. and take appropriate actions to maintain optimum performance and availability
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) Administration for SANs hosting Linux servers and clients
  • DataCenter backup Administration - installation, operation and support of software to accomplish the backups of Linux systems and data hosted on them
  • Monitor network performance at the boundary between the corporate data network and Linux systems. Proactively work with the Network team to insure good data transmission speed between the Linux/Oracle Servers and clients
  • Provide Technical Support to other Information Services teams and departments as required during and after normal business hours
  • Design, code, and implement shell scripts for systems administration and/or to support company business requirements. Scripts will include but is not limited to operator menus and utilities (such as backup and nightly processing), email marketing campaign scripts, web-site scripts, Oracle support scripts, and telecommunications interface scripts
  • Install and maintain Linux-resident software, which may include applications, database software, operating system updates, and third-party language or utility maintenance and updates
  • Systems Security Administration - Protect systems from unauthorized entry and destructive actions
  • Work with external support to troubleshoot and resolve Linux environment problems and issues
  • Recommend and architect servers, network and storage for future growth of environment
  • Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and media
  • Install, evaluate and recommend software for Linux environments
  • Assist developers and database administrators with scripting and operating system changes and troubleshooting

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Associate's degree (or higher) in Information Technology or a related area
  • Competent to install, maintain, administer and support software on Linux physical and virtual systems.
  • Must understand cluster software for multi-node environments.
  • Must understand advanced and distributed file systems, cluster file systems, network file systems, etc.
  • Must be able to install and administer JAVA services, applications and utilities on Linux.
  • Must be able to install, configure, administer and support Apache web services and web-based applications and utilities.
  • Be familiar with NFS and other mechanisms to integrate and share Linux file systems and services with Microsoft Windows systems and services
  • Must be a competent enterprise storage area network (SAN) administrator
  • Must be a competent enterprise backup administrator.
  • Familiar with Linux command-line environments, including Korn, “C”, Perl or “Bourne” shell script programming, disk layout and monitoring, and end-user maintenance including add/change/delete of users
  • Familiar with hardware used on Linux systems, such as fiber switches, disk arrays, network interfaces,  network switches, SCSI and FIBER controllers and connectivity, memory, cpu, etc.
  • Working knowledge of CUPS and Printer Drivers in Linux.
  • Familiar with configuring and administering Sendmail including multi-server load balancing, signing with DK and DKIM.
  • Familiar with virtualization in Linux.
  • Associate's degree (or better) in Information Technology or a related area

Web Developer

Compliant HTML? Clean Code? Flexible Scripting? Have a copy of the web standards on your night table? We are looking for a Web Developer to assist the web administration team in maintaining and furthering the development of its award winning web site. The Web Developer, under the direction of the Website Development Supervisor, will assist in the day to day activities of designing, coding, testing, and managing web content in addition to the ongoing development challenges presented by the demand of almost 2 million web visitors a month!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with web interface development per internal clients’ needs and requirements definitions
  • Codes, tests, and debugs web interface components
  • Assists in ensuring  code compatibility on major browsers and across Win/Mac platforms
  • Creates and implements web content for replacements.com, Intranet, and STAR Supplier web site, as directed by management; performs design tasks which may require  research and analysis
  • Updates new content as required for replacements.com, Intranet, and STAR Supplier web site as directed by management
  • Reviews and recommends edits to product descriptions  and information from external  departments to be published to replacements.com,  ensuring correct grammar and syntax
  • Communicates project status (hours, progress, delays, and completion) in a reliable and accurate manner
  • Documents all systems/products designed and modified
  • Reviews and tests company web sites daily to ensure continuous uptime and proper functioning
  • Assists with resolving web-related technical and support issues
  • Suggests new ideas to increase overall usability and effectiveness of company web sites
  • Assists in maintaining web page design layouts according to company specification

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required with 2 to 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Requires thorough knowledge of effective web site design based on audience characteristics and behavior, purpose of site, site structure, and the ability to effectively suggest improvements to site design based on user feedback, both direct and passive
  • Must have an understanding of Web history and web architecture
  • Requires knowledge of internet-standard web browsers and development requirements for each
  • Requires thorough knowledge of essential web technologies including (X)HTML, XML/XSL, DOM2, and other schema related to HTML standards
  • Requires experience with web development tools including both WYSIWYG and code-based development tools.  Must be able to perform front-end web site development using web site editing software and  hand-coded HTML as needed
  • Requires experience with cascading style sheets including syntax, functionality, inclusion options, and compatibility issues
  • Requires experience with JavaScript and the ability to create custom functions with JavaScript/jQuery.  Experience with Java, PHP and/or PERL a plus
  • Knowledge of forms including form elements, form design, and processing form data required
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and related design concepts required
  • Requires web graphics processing and optimization experience including knowledge of image formats, image maps, static images, and experience with graphic design tools. Audio and video experience a plus
  • Knowledge of database connectivity including knowledge of data sources, ODBC, and SQL are preferred
  • Must have ability to use reports to regularly analyze key measured web site performance areas including site performance from a customer service and marketing perspective, and areas for improvement in web site
  • Must know the effects of site design on server configuration and functionality and have a basic understanding of UI/UX, and accessibility concepts
  • Interest in and ability to monitor and understand developing trends in Internet and web technology required

Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist creates required adjustments and additions to the inventory database.  This is a temp to hire position.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Processes incoming merchandise from start to finish including unboxing, identifying, inspecting, data entry into the database, and prepping pieces for shelving
  • Adds to or changes the Replacements inventory database as needed to process crystal inventory
  • Identifies unknown patterns and piece codes according to established inventory procedures or submits items for input from the Curating department
  • Ensures that the crystal image database is complete, accurate, and up-to-date by submitting pieces for image in a timely manner and in compliance with the department imaging criteria
  • Inspects crystal of all grading factors for quality and ensures that the pattern and piece codes and sizes are correct as identified
  • Handles discrepancies in the receipt according to inventory procedures
  • Processes damaged pieces according to inventory procedures
  • Processes miscellaneous items to be considered for showroom merchandise
  • Operates and maintains all tools and equipment required for position
  • Must cross train to perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the China Inventory Specialist, and cross train in other Inventory areas as directed by leadership
  • Communicates effectively in order to train individuals within or outside of the department and any new employees as directed by the management team
  • Must perform a one week lead rotation to provide additional guidance and support based on instructions from the leadership team

Order Puller

The Order Puller accurately pulls orders and pieces for external and internal customers as directed. Additionally, the puller helps various departments serve both internal and external customers by satisfying order and Retail Store pull requests.  The puller assists with request for imaging, attributing, piece verifications and other descriptive purposes.  The puller also assists with shelving, pattern consolidations, pattern thinning, and maintaining the integrity of the shelves.  This is a temp to hire position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Locates and pulls pieces to fulfill a printed order, verifying that pieces are
  • Locates, pulls, and delivers China, Crystal, Flatware, Collectibles, Hollowware and miscellaneous product for various departments via system generated pull requests. Verifying pieces are correct
  • Maintains service levels established by management in pulling and delivering product to key departments
  • Examines pieces for any obvious damage that may have been missed in the original inspection and grading process before pulling and/or delivering
  • Processes problem orders and damaged stock according to established procedures
  • Maintains the integrity of inventory by straightening and organizing shelves while pulling
  • Communicates with Team Lead and other team members to identify and solve inventory problems in assigned area
  • Assists with shelving tasks as required and places product on shelves in exact assigned location and complete paperwork accurately

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to operate specialized inventory computer systems to the level required by position
  • Must be able to independently structure and organize regular working activities
  • Must be able to follow detailed procedures and recognize detailed differences in product
  • Must be able to work in a pressured, high-volume work environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must have strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must follow all safety regulations
  • Standing, walking, bending, and stooping required – often for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently push, pull and climb ladders safely

  • Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds

Warehousing Specialist

The Warehouse Specialist moves inventory as directed among bulk, warehouse, and shelf locations and off-site warehouses in order to use space efficiently, ensuring that all inventory areas are safe and orderly.  Duties include maintaining the integrity of the inventory in all warehouse locations and the safe operation of company vans and trucks.  This is a temp to hire position.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Moves inventory as directed by Supervisor to maintain appropriate amounts of stock in various locations
  • Places inventory neatly in exact assigned location for easy retrieval
  • Completes inventory paperwork accurately
  • Performs Inventory Maintenance transactions accurately reflecting all inventory moves
  • Un-boxes, identifies and labels inventory correctly for replenishment of shelves
  • Reports damage according to established procedures; communicates any problems to Supervisor
  • Operate company forklifts and vehicles

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to operate specialized inventory computer systems to the level required by position
  • Must be able to independently structure and organize regular working activities
  • Must be able to follow detailed procedures and recognize detailed differences in product
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
